Capiz jins bag 14 medals in Korea

ROXAS CITY – Seven jins of Capiz Taekwondo (CATA) kicked their way to 14 medals from the recent 10th Korea World Taekwondo Culture Expo Championships in the Muju Taekwondowon, in Muju, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea.

The jins competed in poomsae (form) and gyorugi (sparring) categories and won the following medals:

Gold: Sean Falsis, Mikee Rose Regala, Allyah Dominique Eusalan
Silver: Rey Emmanuel Azcarraga
Bronze: Zachary Aguirre, Jeffrey Jay De Jose, and Siamelle Grace Manalad
Gold: Sean Falsis, Mikee Rose Regala, Allyah Dominique Eusalan, and Zachary Aguirre
Silver: Jeffrey Jay De Jose
Bronze: Siamelle Grace Manalad and Rey Emmanuel Azcarraga

The team’s coach, Joven Venancio said that he will receive P15,000 from the provincial government while the taekwondo players will receive P10,000 per gold medal won, P5,000 per silver medal won, and P 3,500 per bronze medal won.

Venancio and his jins made a courtesy call to Governor Tony Del Rosario on Wednesday afternoon at the Capiz Provincial Capitol.
