Capiz acquires 5 high-end ambulances


Roxas City – The provincial government has acquired five brand new and high end ambulances.

The ambulances are intended to the four hospitals - Senator Gerardo Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao; Mambusao District Hospital in Mambusao and Tapaz District Hospital in Tapaz, and Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in this city.

It was acquired for P14,560,000 only thru competitive bidding and the province was able to save P440,000.



The purchase of these ambulances was made to speed up the delivery of health services to Capizeños in emergency situation,” Governor Tony del Rosario said in an interview.

Each ambulance is fully equipped by the latest medical equipment including ECG machine, oxygen regulator with humidifier, oxygen tank holder, automated external defibrillator first aid kit, two-way radio communication, and other apparatus necessary in saving lives while transporting the patient from emergency scene to the hospital.

Del Rosaro stressed that the procurement of the vehicles is one of the many projects and programs that the provincial government will implement through the Hospital Management Unit headed by Ms. Melanie R. Arancillo.



The governor led the turnover of the ambulances to the chief of hospitals on Monday at the Capiz Provincial Capitol.
