Phoenix rallies past Rain or Shine, seals twice-to-beat advantage

The Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters bucked a double-digit in the fourth quarter to hack out a 90-88 win over the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, Wednesday evening at the AUF Sports Arena and Cultural Center.

Jason Perkins put in the go-ahead putback, after consecutive misses by Calvin Abueva and Matthew Wright with 33.1 seconds to go. On the other side, James Yap flubbed his three-point opportunity to put his team ahead.

The win allowed Phoenix to clinch a twice-to-beat advantage in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals, while the Elasto Painters sink to the eighth seed.
