The NLEX Road Warriors booked their third straight victory after decimating the San Miguel Beermen by 34 points, 124-90, Friday evening at the AUF Sports Arena and Cultural Center.
Michael Miranda led the NLEX offense, contributing 22 points off the bench on a perfect 8/8 shooting clip. Kevin Alas, on the other hand, dropped 16 points in the first half, en route to a 19-point, 9-rebound finish.
NLEX started the game hot, and stymied every comeback attempt of San Miguel with a barrage of points. They led by as muany as 38 points in the game, enjoying a 113-75 lead midway through the fourth quarter.
Following the big win, the Road Warriors remain alive in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup playoff hunt after registering their fourth win against five losses.
Paul Zamar contributed a game-high 23-points for the Beermen, who were playing the second game of a back-to-back and only needed one more win to earn a playoff spot. They fell to a 5-4 record with their second straight loss.
