The TNT KaTropa became the first team to clinch a playoff spot in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup after a 112-87 whacking of the NorthPort Batang Pier, Tuesday evening at the AUF Arena.
There was no doubt that the game was TNT's to take, for they dominated the game from tip-off to final buzzer in the wire-to-wire victory.
After opening the game 9-0, TNT never looked back and took control to earn their sixth win against seven tries. It was also a rebound win for the KaTropa, having lost their previous outing against the NLEX Road Warriors last Oct. 29.
Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. led all scorers with a double-double effort of 22 points and 10 rebounds. NorthPort, on the other hand, dropped to 1-5.
