The first Jordan Brand store in Manila

Fans of His Airness – and of sneakers and athletic wear in general – will have over 4,500 square feet of retail space to discover once the Manila Jordan Brand Store opens in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The store, which will also house brand-related services and experiences aside from Jordan Brand products, opens its doors on December 3.

“Basketball is more than just a sport in the Philippines, it is embedded in the culture. In the high streets of Manila or the local barangays across the country, the passion for basketball inspires and drives the communities,” noted Jino Ferrer, Nike Philippines’ country marketing manager.

According to Nike Philippines, the Manila store has “the largest assortment for Jordan apparel across men’s, women’s and kids in South East Asia.” Customers can also access styling and customization services in-store. For the store’s launch, customers can get customized laces, dubraes, aglets, and tees from designs by 8 globally-acclaimed artists.

Art from Filipino artists Veejay Villafranca, Jaime Pacena, Raxenne Maniquiz, and AJ Dimarucot are showcased throughout the retail space.

Of course, the store’s rooftop features a basketball court with a mural designed by New York-based artist Kimou Meyer.

Nike Philippines said the space “will be used for community games, events, activations, clinics, and special guest appearances.”

A limited edition (just 150 pairs!) of the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Manila” edition will also drop on December 3, alongside the store’s opening. The Manila Jordan Brand store is located at High Street South, BGC, Taguig City. – Rappler.com
