Stanley Pringle bags first PBA Best Player honors

Stanley Pringle highlighted a historic season for Barangay Ginebra with his own personal milestone by capturing the Best Player of the Conference (BPC) award of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup on Sunday, January 17.

Pringle won the maiden BPC plum of his PBA career as he led Ginebra to its first All-Filipino championship in 13 years.

Arguably the most consistent player in their title run, the talented guard normed 18.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.0 steals.

Pringle bested Phoenix's Matthew Wright and Calvin Abueva, TNT's Ray Parks and Roger Pogoy, and Terrafirma's CJ Perez for the coveted award.

"Just being nominated for me was a blessing. It is really hard to pick a player. All the players deserved it," Pringle said.

Pringle also earned a spot in the Outstanding Five, joining Wright, Abueva, teammate Japeth Aguilar, and TNT's Poy Erram. – Rappler.com
