Thirdy Ravena has suffered a fractured right index finger and will miss San-En NeoPhoenix's second road game against Sun Rockers Shibuya on Sunday.
The team announced the news on Sunday morning, a day after the Filipino import hurt his right hand in the first of the two-game series.
Ravena's right index finger got caught in defender Kosuke Ishii's body as he was making a handoff to Hayato Kawashima.
He was immediately subbed out at the 5:30 mark of the third quarter and did not check back in as San-En suffered an 11-point meltdown and lost to Shibuya, 81-80 on Saturday.
Doctors ruled the injury as a metacarpal oblique fracture, with no timetable given for his return.
"In the future, we will undergo a detailed examination and provide appropriate treatment and rehabilitation," the team said in a statement.
This injury is just the latest in a whirlwind first season for Ravena in the B.League, from his entry being delayed by visa issues to him contacting COVID-19 in November.
Despite that, the three-time UAAP Finals MVP has been stellar for the NeoPhoenix, averaging 9.1 points on 36-percent shooting, to go with 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.6 minutes through 11 games.
