Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant laced up his latest signature sneaker, the Nike KD 14, on Saturday, April 10 (Sunday, April 11, Manila time) in the Nets’ 126-101 loss to the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.
Durant, who is coming off a hamstring injury, finished with a team-high 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists while wearing his latest shoe model in the losing effort.
According to Nick DePaula of The Undefeated, the one-time league MVP and two-time champion Durant became only the third player in NBA history to reach 14 signature sneakers during their playing careers, joining Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan and Lakers superstar LeBron James.
The Nike KD 14 features a full-length Zoom Air Strobel in the underfoot, which provides more cushion and responsiveness on the court, as well as a familiar Nike Air Presto-inspired mid-foot strap for a more customized fit.
The Black/White colorway of the Nike KD 14 is set for release on April 14.
