Paul Lee fired 18 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter as Magnolia Pambansang Manok wrapped up its elimination round assignment with a 100-90 victory over San Miguel Beer in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Don Honorio Ventura State University in Bacolor, Pampanga.
Lee’s offensive outburst allowed the Hotshots to break away from the Beermen in the payoff period to finish the elims with an 8-3 record while keeping their chances alive in the race for the twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.
San Miguel, playing minus Terrence Romeo due to an injured foot, dropped to 6-4.
