Oliver Almadro is stepping down as the Choco Mucho head coach amidst the team's ongoing campaign in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.
On Tuesday, the club announced that the veteran mentor has requested to leave his post at the team to shift his focus in developing the Ateneo de Manila University women's volleyball program.
"The Choco Mucho Flying Titans organization announces acceptance of the request of Head Coach, Oliver Almadro, "Coach O", to step down from his post in CMFT," the team said in a post.
"This decision was reached for him to focus his efforts in developing the Ateneo Women's Volleyball Program and will take effect immediately."
Almadro has been at the helm of the Flying Titans since the club was formed in 2019, and with him no longer calling the shots, assistant coach Edjet Mabbayad will take the reins.
"We thank Coach O for the invaluable contribution he brought to our team since it was formed in 2019. Coach O has embodied what Titan Pride is all about - the work ethic and passion for the sport," the added while saying Almadro will still serve as consultant.
