Giannis Antetokounmpo wins MVP award

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has won his second consecutive Most Valuable Player award.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Antetokounmpo won the 2019-20 league MVP over Los Angeles star LeBron James and Houston Rockets guard James Harden.

With the feat, Antetokounmpo joins James, Stephen Curry, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Steve Nash and Tim Duncan in winning consecutive MVP awards.

The Bucks forward also won Defensive Player of the Year this season.

He also joins Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon for bagging both MVP and DPOY awards in the same season.
