Health care providers and organizations will be featured by the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. Regional Office 6 for their best practices in advocating the agency’s National Health Insurance Program at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City today.
PhilHealth Forward will also highlight the enhance payment and reporting system among those employed in the sector.
In Negros Occidental, the best practices of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in implementing the insurance agency’s No Balance Billing will be also presented.
PhilHealth Regional Vice President Lourdes Diocson said every public facility should emulate the good practices of CLMMRH so poor residents can become genuine recipients of NBB.
Meanwhile, the Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation is among the eight groups in the province that received the biggest enrolment in the PhilHealth’s iGroup program, she said.
Also to be recognized at the event are the 17 local government units in Capiz province, in partnership with Rural Health Units, for decreasing infant and maternal deaths during pregnancy and childbirth through the implementation of One Municipality, One Maternity Care Provider (1MOM), she said.
The Dumalag Maternity Clinic in Capiz notably has had zero incident of home childbirth assisted by local midwives, she said.
PhilHealth will also feature its enhanced Electronic Payment Remittance System where employers can avail of hassle-free payment and reporting through Accredited Collecting Agents, she said.
The Department of Health and the agency’s senior officers and local executives from Panay and Negros Islands will also attend, she also said. (KBC/The Visayan Daily Star)
