Don’t do drugs, Capiz scholars told

ROXAS City – Scholars of the provincial government of Capiz have been urged to avoid illegal drugs.

Gov. Antonio del Rosario led the distribution of the scholars’ book allowance for the first semester of academic year 2016-2017 at the Capiz Gymnasium.

The governor took the opportunity to campaign against drugs.

Focus on your studies and don’t do drugs,” he told the scholars. “Secretly inform your parents, teachers … who the drug pushers in your school are.

Del Rosario stressed that drugs “destroy the future of the youth.”

Each scholar received a P1,000 book allowance on Nov. 8.

Their book allowance for the second semester was set to be given out in December, during the holiday break.

Del Rosario said his administration, through the scholarship program, is “helping parents to see their children graduate from college despite financial struggles.”

The governor also encouraged the scholars to apply for summer jobs offered by the provincial government. (With Capiz Aksyon News Center/PN)
