Roughly 200 farmers in five barangays of Dumalag town will reap the benefits of P4,258,500 million worth of farm machineries given by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through the Capiz 2nd Congressional District Office and Dumalag municipal government.
Henry John Jalbuena, DOLE-6 regional director, and Melissa Navarra, the DOLE provincial director, led the cheque turnover to Dumalag Mayor Amado Eriberto Castro, which will be used to purchase rice transplanter and harvesters.
“The program is DOLE’s contribution to the government agenda of inclusive growth through massive job generation and poverty reduction,” DOLE Provincial Office Public Information Officer William P Dungog said.
