Capiz gov't qualifies for Seal of Good Local Governance

ROXAS CITY - The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) awarded the provincial government of Capiz with the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) after its national validation.

Social protection, financial administration, environmental management, business friendliness and competitiveness, peace and order, and tourism development comprised the areas where the local government unit was assessed, said national validators LGOO V Melita Villaruel and LGOO II Josephine dela Rosa.



Provincial Administrator Michelle del Rosario said the provincial government has done its best to qualify for the SGLG, which became a guide in doing what is right.

Aside from the provincial government, six other local government units also qualified and undergone validation for the prestigious award. These were the towns of Tapaz, Dumarao, Ivisan, Dao, Sapian and Roxas City.

The national validating team visited the key areas at the capitol, Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital, Capiz Government and Business Center, and Aksyon Tabang. (Capiz Aksyon News Center/PN)
