The NLEX Road Warriors secured their backcourt for the next few years by signing guards Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Alas to similar three-year contract extensions Tuesday.
Ravena, who returned last year following a FIBA-mandated suspension, announced the development on his social media accounts.
"God is good! 3 more years with my team! Hoping to achieve great things with our group!" Ravena tweeted.
On his Instagram account, he posted a photo of the contract signing with the caption, "Thank you NLEX family for giving me another chance to represent this wonderful organization. Rest assured we will do our best to represent the team with the best of our abilities. Thank you Boss RFE, Boss RLI, Boss CCL, Boss Luigi Bautista, Boss Bobby Bontia, and Boss @ronaldtdulatre1124 and Of course Coach Yeng."
In his first conference back, Ravena, who will turn 27 next month, averaged 15.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup eliminations.
The Road Warriors emerged at the top of the standings, but were ousted in the quarterfinals by eight-seed NorthPort.
Alas, on the other hand, was also extended for three years, as he hopes to rebound from another setback.
Prior to his ACL tear he suffered in February 2019, his second such injury, the former Letranite submitted 8.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists a game. He returned to action on November 12, 2019, the day of his 28th birthday.
"There were no major issues in the negotiations. I think they're both happy with the situation, with the team, with their teammates," NLEX head coach Yeng Guiao said in a statement.
"Signing the two, Kiefer and Kevin, is an indication that we want to form the strongest team possible that is capable of challenging the usual contenders for a championship," he added.
NLEX team manager Ronald Dulatre told ESPN5 via text message that both players were given maximum deals.
