Ginebra thumps Phoenix, stays unbeaten in bubble

BARANGAY Ginebra notched its fourth straight win after trouncing Phoenix Super LPG, 86-71, on Wednesday in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Angeles University Foundation Sports Arena and Cultural Center.

Stanley Pringle and Prince Caperal guided the Gin Kings to victory as they stayed unbeaten while taking the share of the lead with TNT (4-0) before heading into their ‘Bubble Clasico’ match-up against Magnolia on Sunday.

The 4-0 start also matched the franchise record during the 1986 Open Conference with Billy Ray Bates and Michael Hackett teaming up with playing coach Robert Jaworski on their way to their first-ever title.

The Fuel Masters suffered their second straight loss for an even 2-2 mark no thanks to the superb play of Pringle and Caperal, who continued to be a revelation for the Gin Kings in the bubble.
