TNT survived a third-quarter onslaught from Phoenix Super LPG and hung on late in the fourth to take a 102-101 victory and force a winner-take-all game in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals Wednesday at the AUF Sports Arena and Cultural Center.
Bobby Ray Parks had a big night and put up 36 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals to anchor the Tropang Giga. Parks also went 5-for-8 from downtown and scored 12 of TNT's last 14 points, including a pair from the line that gave the Tropang Giga a 100-95 lead with four seconds left to pull the plug on any Phoenix attempt at a comeback late in the game.
Game 5 is on Friday, Nov. 27, at 3:45 p.m.
Backing up Parks was Jayson Castro, who finished with 21 points and five assists in a start, and Roger Pogoy, who bucked a bad shooting night (6-for-21) to wind up with 18 points. Simon Enciso also threw in 12 markers.
For Phoenix, which missed a chance to enter the finals for the first time in franchise history, Matthew Wright scored 34 points and handed out nine assists in the loss. Jason Perkins had 19 points, while Calvin Abueva tallied 17 and 13 boards, though he did have eight turnovers.
