Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin out for Nets vs. Celtics originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
The Brooklyn Nets will be without two of their stars when they host the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.
Both Kevin Durant (left hamstring strain) and newly-acquired Blake Griffin (left knee injury management) have been ruled out for the first game of the second half, the Nets announced Wednesday.
It will mark the 10th straight game Durant has missed due to the injury. Griffin, who was signed by Brooklyn on Monday, has missed games due to knee issues the last couple of seasons.
As for the Celtics, they're expected to finally have Marcus Smart back in the fold Thursday night. The veteran guard has missed the last 18 games due to a left calf tear. Only second-year swingman Romeo Langford is listed on Boston's injury report entering the matchup.
C's-Nets is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Be sure to tune in to Celtics Pregame Live at 6:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Boston.
