Mika Reyes bounced back from a cold debut to tow Sta. Lucia Realty into the win column at the expense of slumping PLDT Home Fibr, 25-18, 25-19, 25-21, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte on Monday afternoon.
The middle blocker delivered 11 points with nine coming off attacks to pace the Lady Realtors, who bounced back from a four-set defeat at the hands of defending champion Creamline last Saturday. Reyes was limited to only three points in SLR’s opening game.
Lady Realtors Eddieson Orcullo credited his wards’ improved performance for the morale-boosting win.
“Actually lahat, maayos ‘yung game. ‘Yung buong team maayos naman yung nilaro pati ‘yung mga nasa labas nagtrabaho rin sila,” he said. “Ang usapan kasi sa game plan maglaro kayo diyan sa loob, maglalaro kami dito sa labas kaya ayun, happy naman sa nilalaro nila.”
SLR evened its record to 1-1 while the Power Hitters absorbed their second straight defeat in as many games after a straight sets drubbing against Chery Tiggo last Saturday.
Congratulations, @theSLREALTORS!!! 💚🏐
