ROXAS CITY, Oct. 25 (PNA) -- The internal peace security in the province of Capiz is stable, according to Brig. General Harold Cabreros, commanding general of 3rd Infantry Division of Philippine Army.
General Cabreros informed the Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP) committee that 22 rebel surrenderers have been given immediate assistance and additional cash upon surrender of their weapons.
Cabrero expressed appreciation to the provincial government through Governor Tony Del Rosario in their participation in the CLIP program, which encourages rebel groups to return to the government’s side and to surrender their weapons in exchange of financial and livelihood assistance.
Del Rosario also instructed the Philippine Army to monitor the returnees to ensure that they will not return to the movement, according to the Capiz Aksyon News Center. (PNA)
