ROXAS City, Capiz – Three months into the administration of Capiz Governor Tony Del Rosario, the Villareal Stadium has earned P1,007,409.
According to the collection report of the Sports and Business Affairs Office, Villareal Stadium’s income in July was P348,642; August, P365,316; and September, P293,751.
Sports and Business Affairs Consultant Carmen Andrade said in a recent press conference that the income will be used to fund projects for the rehabilitation and improvement of the stadium.
Andrade said in a recent interview that the lower income in September was due to the decrease in school activities since the students use the stadium to practice.
She cited that one of the reasons why the stadium got higher collection is the implementation of proper collection per Provincial Ordinance Number 03-2008 or the user’s fee ordinance.
Andrade said that the sources of income in the stadium include poolside, which comprises of the pavilion and swimming pool; Villareal Stadium entrance fee; oval and fitness gym and payment for the use of the Capiz Gymnasium. (Capiz Aksyon News Center/Glaicel Joy Bauson/TDG)
