ROXAS City – Around 700 barangay health workers (BHWs) in Capiz received a Christmas cash gift of P1,000 each from the provincial government.
Gov. Antonio del Rosario praised the BHWs for attending to the health needs of communities as volunteers and with minimal income.
Del Rosario had said capitol will accredit BHWs, who will also have to facilitate hospital aid, funeral service, scholarship, and employment.
The provincial government gives the Christmas cash gift to BHWs yearly.
Also present at the distribution were Provincial Board member Jonathan Besa, provincial legal consultant Ronnie Dadivas, Executive Assistant Jose Fulgencio 'Pepe' del Rosario, and Roxas City councilor Cora Balgos-Tiangco. (Froilan Unarce, Capiz Aksyon News Center/PN)
