Roxas City - Coming off of a highly successful season in 2017, the management group is working towards the 2018 season with great anticipation as Gov. Tony A. del Rosario has decided to hold the surging TriAksyon, the Capiz International Triathlon, next year, April 14-15, as one of the highlights of CAPIZtahan.
Del Rosario promises a more star-studded TriAksyon, and is looking at new events for the series to attract more participants.
“We would like to bring more people here through the event and let their experiences convince others to travel and enjoy the touristic or leisure elements in Capiz.” del Rosario said.
More top local and triathletes are expected to battle for top honors as organizers are already receiving requests and inquiries about the event.
SEA Game gold medalist Nikko Huelgas, and silver medalist John Leerams Chicano are expected to make their way here to headline the much awaited TriAksyon.
In several media interviews, Huelgas linked the Triaksyon race course to that of SEA Games, and helped him won the top spot. ~ Rex Talabucon/Watchman's Report
