ROXAS City – After the successful debut of the first Capiz International Triathlon (CIT) in 2016, the early bird registration for the event opened December 1, 2017 until Jan. 15, 2018, according to tournament director Jose “Pepe” Borres.
CIT, also known as “TriAksyon,” is set on April 14-15, 2018 as part of the annual the CAPIZtahan Festival of Capiz.
The early bird registration fees per category are: Kids, P700; Sprint, P1,500; Standard, P2,000; and Relay, P2,500.
Registrations are accepted at the 2nd floor, room 38 of the Capiz Government Business Center in Fuentes Drive, here.
“They can register now through online registration at the official TriAksyon website at www.capiztriaksyon.com,” Borres said.
TriAksyon, a sports tourism-oriented event, is again expected to draw a large following to the major streets of Roxas City and the municipality of Panay more or less 7 kilometers from here.
The TriAksyon executive committee meeting was held Nov. 27 led by Capiz Gov. Tony Del Rosario, TriAksyon chairman Greg Atienza and tournament director Pepe Borres, including provincial tourism officer Alphonsus Tesoro and the 16 municipal tourism officers.
